The Tavern at Lark Creek
It Has Been a Most Enjoyable Journey
We feel privileged to have been the custodians of The Lark Creek Inn, now The Tavern at Lark Creek, since 1989. This magnificent 1888 Victorian, nestled in the redwoods beside the flowing creek, has received many accolades, helped us accomplish many goals, spawned scores of great chefs and restaurateurs, and has been the launching pad for our company, Lark Creek Restaurant Group. We are indeed grateful for the opportunity it has afforded us.
But early in the morning of March 15th, 2014, a fire erupted in the furnace. Damage was significant, but luckily the Larkspur Fire Department was there in a flash to prevent the building from being destroyed. Building repairs have taken a long time and interior improvements will take even longer, and will be very costly for this 126 year old landmark. That is why, as emotionally attached as we are to the property, we have accepted our landlord’s very generous offer to sell the lease back to him. Sadly, we closed the doors on our occupancy on December 1st, 2014. We turn the page to the next chapter for the Lark Creek Restaurant Group and we hope you will join us at one of our other fine locations. A huge thank you goes out to our teams, our guests (with nearly two million visits) and all the farmers, ranchers, fishermen and wine makers who helped us launch our seasonal, sustainable, farm-fresh approach to dining when that idea was novel 25 years ago. It has been a most enjoyable journey.
Best to all,
Michael & Leslye Dellar Bradley & Jody Ogden
